LUCCA – Lucca Center of Contemporary Art: David LaChapelle, 53 photos of celebrities including Angelina Jolie, Elton John and Naomi Campbell; until November 4.
The National Museum of Villa Guinigi Lucca will host from 6 July 2012-6 January 2013, the exhibition “Painters in Lucca at the time of Paul Guinigi. Baptist Gerio in San Quirico all’Olivo “.
The event is of international interest, is organized by the Superintendence of Lucca and Massa Carrara BAPSAE in collaboration with the Musée du Petit Palais in Avignon and CICRP (Interregional Center for Conservation and Restoration of Property) of Marseille.
Centerpiece of the exhibition is the reconstruction of the triptych created in 1417 by Baptist Gerio for the Church of San Quirico Olivo, now privately owned and closed to the cult, whose parts were scattered between Lucca, Avignon and Philadelphia. —>

Approximately fifty works from private collections on display at the Italian Castello Aragonese until September 30. The Aragonese Castle of Otranto, after having received within its massive walls over one hundred and fifty thousand visitors to the exhibition of Joan Miro, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali, from 27 May to 30 September 2012 contains the works of Andy Warhol, Prince of American pop art.
